Job Summary
Overseeing the architecture and engineering functions of the data ecosystem, the full-time remote Manager, Enterprise Data Engineering will lead the optimization of SQL Server environments and drive the strategic migration to Azure Cloud and Databricks while ensuring compliance with healthcare data requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship for engineering teams in data engineering, integrations, and database administration
- Maintain and optimize the on-prem SQL Server environment, focusing on performance tuning and system reliability
- Collaborate with IT and business partners to design scalable data solutions that support enterprise reporting and analytics
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in data engineering, architecture, or database administration
- Experience managing SQL Server environments in production settings
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Databricks or similar distributed data platforms
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
