Data Governance Analyst
Job Summary
To support the Databricks Lakehouse modernization program, the remote Data Governance Analyst will manage the enterprise business glossary, ensuring accurate definitions and term linkages across domains while collaborating with data engineering teams and business partners.
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain the enterprise business glossary, defining new terms and resolving inconsistencies
- Ensure medallion-layer data elements are defined and linked within Unity Catalog, utilizing AI tools for efficient governance
- Run structured feedback cycles with stakeholders to validate and obtain approval for glossary definitions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform
- Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted development tools
