Data Modeler with Snowflake

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time contract basis, a Data Modeler with Lakehouse architecture on Snowflake will develop logical and physical data models for the Silver and Gold layers of a Lakehouse architecture, assess existing data models, and lead client workshops to create an optimized Finance data model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop logical and physical data models for the Silver and Gold layers of a medallion data warehouse architecture
• Assess the client's existing data model for fit and efficiency
• Lead workshops to understand client pain points and design a future state Finance data model focusing on General Ledger and Trial Balance data

Required qualifications

• Experience developing Gold and Silver layer data models for the finance domain, particularly with General Ledger and Trial Balance data
• Proficiency in modeling data from sources such as SAP, Oracle, and JD Edwards
• Familiarity with various data modeling tools and practices (e.g., 3NF, Snowflake, Star)
• Ability to customize data models to meet client requirements and define leading practices for each layer of the medallion architecture
• Demonstrated thought leadership in data modeling sessions
