Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, enabling seamless SQL-based reporting and queries for business stakeholders in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, optimizing for performance and cost
- Design and build a reporting and query layer for non-technical users, ensuring data accessibility and usability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models and query patterns
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to design relational query layers over semi-structured data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
