Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time remote Data Platform Engineer will architect a scalable, cloud-native AWS data architecture, implement data migration strategies, and optimize query performance for business stakeholders and analysts.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement the migration from MSSQL XML object store to AWS data architecture
- Design and build reporting and query layers for seamless SQL access to healthcare data
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven track record of executing cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare settings
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Strong SQL skills for designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
