Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To lead the modernization of healthcare data platforms, the full-time remote Data Platform Engineer will implement a scalable AWS data architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the data platform from MSSQL XML to a cloud-native AWS architecture
- Design and build the reporting layer for SQL-based queries, ensuring data accessibility for non-technical users
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting and executing cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
- Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured or non-relational data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- U.S. Citizenship required for this position
