Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will implement a cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize data storage solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, ensuring optimal query performance and data organization
- Design and build a reporting layer that allows non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure using AWS-native tools while documenting architecture decisions for clarity
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Solid SQL skills with the ability to design relational query layers over semi-structured data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
