Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data solutions remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, ensuring optimal data organization and performance
- Design and build a reporting layer for non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices using AWS-native tools
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven track record of cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong SQL skills with experience in parsing and transforming XML data
