Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Data Platform Engineer will design and implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, ensuring seamless reporting and query capabilities for business stakeholders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, optimizing for performance and cost
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models and query patterns
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services, including S3, Athena, and DynamoDB
- Strong SQL skills with experience designing relational query layers over semi-structured or non-relational data
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
