Job Summary
As the IP and Data Privacy Counsel, the full-time remote position will advise on data privacy laws, manage privacy programs, and address intellectual property issues related to AI data work while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on US and EU/UK data privacy laws and develop the privacy program, including policies and data processing agreements
- Handle privacy filings and respond to inquiries from regulators, customers, and contributors
- Track relevant litigation and legislation on AI, data, and IP, providing early warnings for potential business impacts
Required qualifications
- 5-10 years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house
- Hands-on experience with US and EU/UK privacy laws and compliance programs
- Strong knowledge of trademark and copyright law, particularly in the context of AI
- Ability to communicate clearly and practically about legal risks and recommendations
- Genuine curiosity about AI and its implications in legal contexts
