Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, a Data QA Engineer will lead automated testing for Databricks-based data platforms, utilizing Pytest to validate SQL-driven data pipelines and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest, extending the existing framework
- Validate data migrations and transformations from SQL to Databricks, ensuring data integrity and business-rule compliance
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, managing test cases and defect traceability in qTest
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of QA/test automation experience, with 5+ years in a senior or lead role
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and Pytest for API and data testing
- Expert-level SQL skills, with proven experience validating data in Databricks
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically with GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Databricks Genie and GitHub Copilot
