Data Science Lead

Job Summary

Leading the data science function in a full-time remote capacity, the Data Science Lead will set technical direction, identify high-impact opportunities, and develop data-driven solutions while mentoring a team to foster a strong data culture.

Key responsibilities

• Set priorities and best practices across data science initiatives while leading the development of statistical models and machine learning applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business problems into data-driven solutions and communicate insights to stakeholders
• Mentor data scientists, promoting technical standards and a culture of experimentation and continuous learning

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning
• Proven experience leading end-to-end data science initiatives and translating complex business problems into measurable solutions
• Strong understanding of machine learning, experimentation, and statistical methodologies
• Experience mentoring or leading data scientists and influencing product and business decisions through data
