Job Summary

Owning the development and deployment of predictive models, the full-time Lead Data Scientist will work remotely to optimize auto insurance carrier conversions and manage media buying models, ensuring effective outcomes through data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Build and validate models to match auto insurance shoppers with the most suitable carriers based on conversion likelihood
• Manage and optimize media buying models, focusing on return on ad spend (ROAS) and production deployment
• Analyze carrier conversion data and adapt models to handle challenges such as sparse sessions and market drift

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience with measurable business impact
• Proven experience in developing models that drive paid media decisions, including spend and bidding strategies
• Strong understanding of model architecture, loss functions, and neural network fundamentals
• Expertise in Python and SQL for data analysis and model building
• Experience handling data challenges such as late labels, sparse features, and model drift
