Data Scientist

Job Summary

Joining a small and senior data team, the full-time Data Scientist will build machine learning infrastructure, turn internal data into customer-facing products, and collaborate across engineering teams to drive data initiatives in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Clerk's ML infrastructure, including pipelines, training, and model serving
• Transform internal data signals into products and create a semantic layer for customer access
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models and signals into product and platform code

Required qualifications:

• Experience building and running machine learning systems in production
• Strong background in data and engineering, with the ability to contribute across both domains
• Proficiency with relevant technologies such as GCP, BigQuery, dbt, and Dagster
• Ability to work independently on large, ambiguous problems with a strong iterative approach
• Located within 3 hours of U.S. Mountain Time
