Job Summary
To support a critical initiative for the lupus community, the full-time Data Scientist will manage and analyze complex scientific and clinical datasets, build scientific data pipelines, and partner with researchers to generate high-quality insights, working remotely or in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee scientific data analysis pipelines and ensure the accuracy and completeness of datasets
- Independently conduct code-based analyses of clinical and multi-omics data to support research questions
- Manage data access requests and establish procedures for data governance and compliance
Required qualifications
- PhD in immunology, biomedical sciences, biostatistics, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 8+ years
- Experience analyzing clinical and multi-omic/molecular data, preferably with longitudinal data
- Proficiency in R, Python, and familiarity with AWS, SQL, and GitHub
- Experience with human-subjects data under consent and privacy requirements
- Strong scientific writing skills, including methods sections for publications
