Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end modeling lifecycle, the full-time Data Scientist will design, train, and validate machine learning models to optimize payment processes while collaborating with data engineering and project leads in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze merchant and transaction data to define modeling strategies and generate features for payment optimization
• Build and implement an experimentation framework to measure model performance and tie results to merchant contracts
• Collaborate with data teams to develop data processing pipelines that provide insights for product development and model iteration

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience applying machine learning in production environments, preferably in payments or fintech
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in tools like TensorFlow and Airflow
• Hands-on experience in feature generation, model selection, training, and hyperparameter optimization
• Experience designing and executing experiments, including A/B testing
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
