Job Summary
To support Ambetter membership forecasting and reporting, the full-time remote Data Scientist III will develop predictive models and analytic frameworks, translating complex market dynamics into actionable membership projections.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop data models to predict member outcomes and the future impact of key member decisions
- Build and manage data assets, feature engineering pipelines, and analytical datasets that support forecasting and reporting processes
- Conduct exploratory analysis to identify emerging trends and business drivers impacting forecast performance
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of quantitative analysis experience
- Experience in data science capabilities, including data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical modeling
- Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and experience with database technologies such as Teradata and Snowflake
- Strong background in developing and validating machine learning models and forecasting methodologies
- Experience in managing multiple projects and collaborating with technical teams for development efforts
