Data Security Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team in a fully remote capacity, the Managing Engineer, Data Security Engineering will oversee the design, development, and operation of data security products, ensuring the delivery of automated and scalable solutions that protect sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team accountable for engineering data security products and controls
- Set technical direction and drive execution across architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and production support
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through code and solution design, key technical decisions, and critical implementation work
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software, data, or security engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience leading engineers while actively engaging in technical design and code reviews
- Deep technical knowledge of data protection, including DLP and data governance
- Strong scripting and automation proficiency using technologies such as Python and Terraform
- Proven ability to build version-controlled security solutions using policy as code and automated delivery pipelines
