Data Solutions Engineering Director
Job Summary
To support data engineering initiatives, the remote Assistant Vice President, Data Solutions Engineering will build operational data pipelines, deliver documented datasets, and collaborate with business partners to design effective data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver well-architected data solutions in collaboration with data platform engineers and other stakeholders
- Partner with business teams to design data solutions and mentor early career data engineers
- Lead the build-out and deployment of reliable and scalable data pipelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Minimum of seven years of experience in data engineering, with at least five years in programming (Python) and SQL
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, and cloud data operations
- Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance, and modern data quality techniques
- Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment, and Finance within the Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus
