Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs' modernization initiatives, the full-time remote Data Visualization Analyst will create high-impact visual analytics and decision-support products using Microsoft Power BI/Power Platform, Tableau, and other enterprise visualization tools, while engaging with stakeholders to ensure clarity and usability of complex data.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of executive dashboards, operational reports, and interactive decision-support products
- Translate business questions into clear visual narratives and KPI frameworks that support specific decisions
- Validate source data and ensure dashboards are accurate, defensible, and traceable while managing publishing and access control
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business intelligence, information systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- 7+ years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or analytics, with senior roles requiring 10+ years
- Advanced expertise with Power BI/Power Platform or Tableau, including experience designing complex dashboards
- Strong data-modeling skills, including experience with SQL and Power BI semantic models/DAX or Tableau data models
- Demonstrated ability to translate stakeholder needs into KPI definitions and production-ready decision-support products
