Job Summary
Working remotely as part of an agile scrum team, the full-time Database Administrator (DBA) will support a suite of web applications for a federal government customer, focusing on optimizing database infrastructure and performance while completing user stories within defined due dates.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the agile team to complete user stories during two-week sprints
- Optimize database infrastructure and performance, including writing and modifying stored procedures and scripts
- Attend agile ceremonies and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot query performance issues
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in database development
- Proficiency in Oracle databases, particularly in Amazon RDS instances, and strong SQL skills
- Experience with writing batch jobs and querying complex databases
- Knowledge of IT security and database management best practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability, requiring US Citizenship
