Job Summary
Supporting the operational health of MongoDB Atlas, the full-time Database Administrator will manage database administration tasks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in a remote environment while collaborating closely with development teams.
Key responsibilities
- Administers MongoDB Atlas across production, test, and preview environments, ensuring operational health and performance
- Monitors performance metrics and alerts, identifying potential issues and optimizing query and index performance
- Participates in incident response and troubleshooting, collaborating with teams to resolve connectivity and access issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
- Five or more years of experience with database systems, preferably in production or cloud-hosted environments
- One or more years of hands-on experience with MongoDB or MongoDB Atlas
- Experience with relational database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL is beneficial
- Willingness to complete the MongoDB University Atlas Administrator Path and earn the MongoDB Associate Atlas Administrator certification within specified timeframes
