Job Summary
Supporting a highly available SQL Database environment, the remote Advisory Database Administrator will manage enterprise-level enhancements, oversee daily maintenance, and provide technical mentorship while ensuring optimal performance and security of the Production SQL environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead initiatives focused on enhancing the availability of the Production SQL environment
- Oversee daily maintenance and provide after-hours support, offering technical mentorship to team members
- Monitor and optimize query performance, server health, and manage backup and recovery processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- 5 years of SQL Server Administrator experience required
- Deep understanding of database management, high availability, and performance tuning
- Intermediate knowledge of PowerShell scripting language
