Job Summary
To support a growing tech-enabled utilization management company, the full-time Database Administrator will manage the health, performance, security, and architecture of relational and NoSQL/document databases, focusing on migrating workloads to Azure while ensuring stability of on-premises SQL Server in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and migration strategy for Azure databases, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
- Administer on-premises SQL Server and oversee the migration process, including decommissioning of servers post-transition
- Partner with development, QA, and BI teams to establish database standards and support data integrity across environments
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA supporting production systems
- 2+ years of experience designing and administering databases in Microsoft Azure
- Expertise in SQL Server administration, T-SQL performance tuning, and database design
- Working knowledge of NoSQL/document databases such as Azure Cosmos DB or MongoDB
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
