Job Summary
To support a growing technology team, the full-time remote Database Administrator will administer existing relational databases, analyze Oracle database structures, and recreate equivalent schemas in Azure SQL Managed Instance while ensuring database performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support existing databases, including monitoring, access management, and maintenance
- Examine and document the existing Oracle database structure, mapping it to Azure SQL equivalents
- Create and validate target database objects in Azure SQL Managed Instance, ensuring consistency with source structures
Required Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in database administration and/or development
- Strong practical experience with Oracle database schemas and Microsoft SQL Server/Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Ability to analyze Oracle schemas and recreate structures in SQL Server/Azure SQL
- Proficient in SQL, with working knowledge of PL/SQL and T-SQL
- Experience with database performance analysis, query tuning, and backup/recovery practices
