Leading a skilled team, the full-time remote Database Administrator Manager will oversee the management, performance, and security of AWS RDS and EC2 database infrastructure while aligning strategic direction with business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Database Administration team to ensure high availability and performance of database systems
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS RDS and EC2 databases, ensuring compliance with product requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and optimize database environments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in database administration, including 2+ years in a VP-level role
- 3-5 years of experience with Amazon RDS and EC2 databases
- Strong knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and optimization
- Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty, are a plus
