Job Summary
Providing leadership in database design and maintenance, the remote Database Advisor will manage large development projects, conduct quality control audits, and serve as a liaison between business customers and support teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database solutions
- Perform root cause analysis, coding, testing, and documentation for development projects
- Coach less senior DBAs and ensure deliverables are met
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of work experience in an information technology or engineering environment, or 3 years with a Master's degree
- Experience with Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage Database Optimization and Performance Tuning
- Proficiency in Advanced SQL for Applications/Reporting and scripting languages such as Shell, PowerShell, or Python
- Knowledge of Advanced Data Security and Compliance, Database Management, and Cloud Data Platform Design/Development
