Job Summary
Providing leadership in database design and maintenance, the remote Database Advisor will manage large development projects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure quality control and auditing of databases while coaching less senior DBAs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases
- Conduct root cause analysis, coding, testing, and documentation for development projects
- Serve as a liaison between business customers and development/support teams while ensuring deliverables
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience
- Experience with Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage Database Optimization and Performance Tuning
- Proficiency in Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage SQL for Applications/Reporting
- Advanced skills in Shell/PowerShell/Python scripting for automation
- Knowledge of Advanced Data Security and Compliance practices
