Database and Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing data platform, the full-time remote Database and Systems Engineer will build and scale data pipelines, automate file feeds, and develop internal services that deliver critical payroll and accounting data to clients and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer and deliver robust data feeds and reports to external specifications for various financial platforms
- Build internal tools from scratch, including data pipelines and automated file delivery mechanisms
- Write and optimize complex T-SQL and Python code while leveraging AI-assisted development tools
Required qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in backend software engineering, data engineering, or database development with hands-on Python development
- Expert-level T-SQL skills on Microsoft SQL Server or comparable expertise in PostgreSQL/Oracle PL/SQL
- Demonstrated experience in building tools, pipelines, and data systems from scratch
- Active experience using AI coding tools for development
- Strong attention to data integrity and confidentiality, with clear communication skills for interacting with stakeholders
