Job Summary
Driving the end-to-end database conversion workstream, the remote Database Conversion Analyst will manage planning, execution, and delivery outcomes for Sybase to Oracle migration projects within the financial sector.
Key responsibilities
- Own and drive the database conversion workstream, including planning and issue resolution
- Perform DBA activities such as environment load optimizations, maintenance, and upgrades
- Execute large-scale migration cycles, including mock runs, reconciliation, and cutover
Required qualifications
- Proven experience delivering Sybase to Oracle conversion projects at major financial institutions
- Strong expertise in RDBMS concepts, including schema design and data migration
- Hands-on experience with database conversion projects and performance tuning
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting languages (shell, perl, awk)
- Strong understanding of Murex data model and database architecture
