Database Engineer
Job Summary
Collaborating with Java development teams, the full-time Database Engineer II will optimize SQL Server usage, write and refine T-SQL code, and analyze complex requirements to enhance backend processes in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal usage of SQL Server for storage and transaction processing in collaboration with development teams
- Write, refine, and optimize T-SQL code for performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Design and implement relational databases and structures as needed while creating documentation for new and existing code
Required qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of experience as a database engineer or in a related role
- Intermediate to advanced T-SQL experience, including query tuning and optimization
- Experience with reporting platforms and translating business needs into efficient T-SQL driven reports
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent functional experience
- Familiarity with SQL Server Administration and ETL processes is a plus
