Job Summary
Supporting large-scale, cloud-managed MySQL database environments, the remote Database Engineer II will manage high-availability systems, automate database processes, and optimize performance for gaming applications on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Support and manage scalable, high-availability cloud database systems for gaming services
- Automate database provisioning, maintenance, and migration processes using infrastructure as code
- Optimize schema design, queries, and stored procedures to enhance performance
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of database administration experience with cloud-based MySQL technologies
- 4+ years of experience managing large-scale relational MySQL databases
- Proven ability to design and implement automated data migrations
- Experience working with development teams on schema, query, and database design
- Skilled in scripting with Python, Bash, or similar for automation purposes
