Job Summary
Supporting a mission-critical application modernization program, the full-time Database Engineer - Virginia Licensed will manage PostgreSQL databases hosted on Amazon RDS, execute database migrations, and collaborate with technical teams, working in a hybrid environment with on-site requirements in Northern Virginia and Maryland.
Key responsibilities
- Manage application-level database administration for PostgreSQL databases on Amazon RDS
- Plan and execute database migrations, performance tuning, and optimization activities
- Collaborate with the platform engineering team to support application modernization and production operations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience administering PostgreSQL databases in production environments
- Hands-on experience with database migrations and performance tuning
- Experience with Amazon RDS or equivalent managed database services
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoW security clearance
- Active Secret security clearance or higher is strongly preferred
