Database Migrations Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise customers in their migration to Laravel Cloud, the full-time Database Migrations Engineer will execute database migrations primarily for MySQL and Postgres, assume ownership of the PlanetScale relationship, and productize repeatable migration patterns while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Execute database migrations with enterprise customers, owning the technical execution during calls
• Assume ownership of the PlanetScale relationship and manage migration work autonomously
• Productize repeatable migration patterns, creating documentation and processes to enhance efficiency

Required qualifications

• Genuine strength across both MySQL and Postgres
• Direct experience with database migrations in a customer-facing capacity
• A productisation instinct for identifying and packaging repeatable processes
• Strong written and asynchronous communication skills
• Comfort operating in a role with scope for self-definition
