Databricks Administrator
Job Summary
As a senior technical authority, the full-time remote Databricks Administrator will manage the administration, security, governance, and performance of an enterprise Databricks environment, supporting federal analytics workloads through hands-on platform administration and automation.
Key responsibilities
- Administer Databricks workspaces, SQL warehouses, and platform configurations to ensure optimal performance and security
- Implement and manage Unity Catalog governance, access controls, and secure data sharing for large analytical workloads
- Automate platform provisioning and administration using tools such as Terraform and Databricks APIs, while monitoring platform health and troubleshooting issues
Required qualifications
- US Citizenship required and must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in database, data platform, or cloud infrastructure, with significant hands-on Databricks administration experience
- Expert knowledge of Databricks administration, SQL, Delta Lake, and performance optimization
- Strong experience with AWS, IAM, Terraform, and enterprise data governance practices
