Job Summary
Seeking a Databricks Genie AI Engineer in a hybrid role, the successful candidate will design and manage the semantic layer for AI-driven analytics, ensuring accurate insights for business users while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and curate the semantic layer, including table descriptions, synonyms, and metric definitions
- Build and maintain Genie Spaces, enhancing data room composition for improved response accuracy
- Develop evaluation frameworks to test query accuracy and ensure data quality in collaboration with data engineers
Required qualifications
- Experience with Databricks, including SQL, Unity Catalog, and AI-powered analytics
- Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python and/or Scala
- Experience in designing semantic models and metric layers
- Knowledge of data warehousing and analytics best practices
- Understanding of large language models and generative AI technologies
