Databricks Apps Developer
Job Summary
To support the development of enterprise data platforms, the full-time remote Databricks Apps Developer will build and ship applications using React front ends, collaborate with UX/UI designers, and create backend services and APIs that connect to Databricks for business users.
Key responsibilities
- Build and ship Databricks applications that enable business users to discover and act on governed data products
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create polished interfaces and ensure alignment between design and data
- Develop backend services and APIs, manage CI/CD processes, and participate in client discovery sessions to translate business needs into application scope
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong production experience in React and TypeScript
- Experience building APIs using modern programming languages such as TypeScript and Python
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data schemas and performance considerations
- Proven experience in shipping applications end-to-end, including CI/CD and production support
- Ability to work with representative data and design for seamless transitions to production sources
