Databricks Architect
Job Summary
To design and build enterprise-scale data platforms supporting multiple claims systems, the full-time remote Databricks Architect will own the end-to-end lakehouse architecture, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to create robust, production-ready technical solutions on Azure.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data platforms using Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and SQL, producing solution architecture and technical design documentation
- Develop Medallion Architecture for enterprise data workloads from multiple claim systems and optimize production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines
- Establish CI/CD practices for Databricks notebooks, troubleshoot production data pipelines, and support platform reliability
Required qualifications:
- 5-7 years of data engineering/cloud experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- Advanced proficiency in PySpark and SQL
- Experience with Azure and understanding of Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture
- Knowledge of Data Governance, Unity Catalog, and security practices
