Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer / Databricks Specialist will develop and optimize scalable Spark applications in AWS Databricks, design robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and administer Databricks workspaces while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize scalable Spark applications using Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines implementing Medallion Architecture
- Administer Databricks workspaces including cluster provisioning and job scheduling
Required qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks development
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud services including S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, and Aurora
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related engineering discipline
