Job Summary
Seeking a Databricks Certified Data Engineer, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer / Databricks Specialist will develop scalable Spark applications in AWS Databricks, design ETL/ELT pipelines, and manage cloud infrastructure while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize scalable Spark applications using Python, PySpark, and SQL for data processing and analytics
- Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines implementing Medallion Architecture to ensure data integrity and lineage
- Administer Databricks workspaces, manage AWS cloud infrastructure, and embed security controls within CI/CD pipelines
Required qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks development
- Proficiency in AWS services including S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, and Aurora
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related engineering discipline
