Databricks Data Architect
Job Summary
To support advanced data solutions, the full-time Databricks Data Architect will architect scalable data solutions, lead the implementation of Databricks platforms in cloud environments, and serve as a technical advisor for clients, with the option for remote work and occasional travel to Cincinnati, Ohio.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect and optimize Databricks platforms within cloud ecosystems, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
- Lead hands-on implementation of data pipelines and infrastructure while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders
- Create and review architecture and solution design documents for large-scale data initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud data warehousing, or large-scale data integration
- 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering production-ready Databricks solutions
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Azure services, including Data Factory and DevOps
- Experience implementing infrastructure using Terraform or similar IAC tools
