Databricks Data Engineer SME
Job Summary
To support the Defense Health Agency's Revenue Cycle Operating System, the full-time Databricks Data Engineer SME will lead the design and implementation of a scalable data architecture within a Databricks-based environment, focusing on enhancing data quality and visualization for healthcare revenue-cycle workflows while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of the RevOS data architecture within Databricks and the DHA War Data Platform
- Assess and remediate existing revenue-cycle data structures to ensure alignment with operational workflows and improve data quality
- Develop and maintain Databricks SQL dashboards and analytical data marts to support operational and financial reporting needs
Required qualifications
- Active SECRET Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering or related fields
- Senior/SME-level hands-on experience with Databricks and its visualization capabilities
- Strong experience with Apache Spark, SQL, Python, and Delta Lake
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and redesign poorly structured existing data environments
