Databricks Data Manager
Job Summary
Leading client-facing data platform implementations, the full-time remote Databricks Data Manager will manage enterprise data platform architecture, governance, and the full lifecycle of data products while optimizing data pipelines on Lakehouse/EDW platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Define overall data platform architecture and establish data governance practices to support analytics and ML use cases
- Design and enforce CI/CD patterns for data artifacts and optimize data ingestion patterns for cost and performance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and mentor Data Engineering teams
Required qualifications
- Previous experience as an architect or in a lead technical role on enterprise data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Databricks technologies, including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
- Strong expertise in Spark (PySpark and/or Scala) and distributed job optimization
- Solid background in data warehouse and lakehouse design with familiarity in Medallion/Lambda/Kappa patterns
- Experience with relational and hybrid databases such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
