Databricks Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise-level data initiatives, the full-time remote Databricks Platform Engineer will deploy and manage Databricks resources using Terraform, onboard new applications, and build disaster recovery solutions while ensuring platform automation and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Databricks platform resources with Terraform and create reusable wrapper modules for consistent onboarding
• Onboard new applications onto the Databricks platform, collaborating with respective teams
• Build and harden disaster recovery solutions for the Databricks environment, including replication and failover testing

Required qualifications

• 6+ years in platform, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering with hands-on Databricks administration in production
• Strong experience with Terraform, including writing and maintaining reusable modules
• Solid cloud infrastructure experience, particularly in networking (VPCs, private endpoints, DNS, security groups)
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments
• Working knowledge of Unity Catalog, workspace administration, and cluster policies
