Databricks Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To support the deployment and management of Databricks platform resources, the full-time remote Databricks Platform Engineer will onboard new applications, build disaster recovery solutions, and optimize networking while ensuring platform automation and production support.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy and manage Databricks platform resources using Terraform and create reusable modules for onboarding
- Build and implement disaster recovery strategies for the Databricks environment, including failover and recovery testing
- Provide production support, including incident response and maintaining documentation for platform operability
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure engineering with hands-on Databricks administration
- Strong proficiency in Terraform, including experience with the Databricks Terraform provider
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly networking components like VPCs or VNets
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, workspace administration, and cluster policies
