Job Summary
Seeking a senior Databricks Resident Solution Architect for a long-term remote contract engagement, who will lead end-to-end architecture, migration, and performance optimization for complex enterprise client environments while collaborating with customer data teams and C-suite leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead remote design and delivery of modern Databricks Lakehouse environments using Delta Lake and Databricks SQL
- Serve as the client's dedicated resident architect, translating business needs into technical implementations
- Conduct deep-dive audits on large-scale Apache Spark workloads to optimize performance and reduce costs
Required qualifications
- Databricks Champion Certification or Databricks Certified Solutions Architect Professional preferred
- 8-10+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, with 3-5+ years specifically on Databricks
- Deep knowledge of Apache Spark, Python/PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, and MLflow
- Hands-on architecture experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud ecosystems
- Proven track record of leading enterprise client architecture in a remote setting
