Job Summary
Leading complex migrations from legacy systems to the Snowflake platform, the remote contract Databricks/Spark Migration Consultant will design tailored migration strategies, collaborate with customers and system integrators, and ensure seamless transitions while acting as a technical expert throughout the implementation process.
Key responsibilities
- Design comprehensive migration plans and solutions tailored to customer needs for transitioning to Snowflake
- Partner with customers to provide technical expertise and ensure effective implementation of Snowflake
- Create presentations and document learnings while developing utilities to streamline migration activities
Required qualifications
- Strong skills in Databricks and Spark
- 8-11 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer
- Experience migrating data platforms and addressing unique challenges associated with such transitions
- Hands-on experience with data warehouse systems similar to Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Extensive expertise with SQL and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Shell
