Job Summary
To support a critical transportation management system, the contract IBM Db2 Architect will assess and optimize an existing IBM Db2 database, focusing on performance tuning and leading a migration from Windows to Linux, while working remotely for a duration of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Db2 architecture and performance to identify and resolve issues
- Tune and optimize SQL queries for high-volume transactional workloads
- Plan and execute a live Db2 database migration from Windows to Linux
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience migrating live production Db2 databases from Windows to Linux
- Deep expertise in Db2 LUW administration, tuning, and performance analysis
- Strong Windows Server and Linux administration skills for database workloads
- Experience supporting transportation management systems or similar enterprise-level operational workloads is preferred
