Deputy CISO

Job Summary

To support a growing security organization, the full-time remote Deputy CISO will partner with the CISO to define and execute the security strategy, provide technical leadership, and oversee security architecture and engineering efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CISO to define and execute the security strategy and roadmap across the organization
• Lead hands-on technical reviews of security architecture and drive secure-by-design practices in the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Build, mentor, and lead security engineers and architects while overseeing responses to major security incidents

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles with hands-on technical work
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Deep expertise in cloud security architecture, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong background in application security and modern architecture patterns
• Experience leading technical incident response and building technical security teams
