Job Summary
To lead the global derivatives structuring strategy, the full-time Deputy General Counsel - US Licensed will manage derivatives and trading legal matters, oversee regulatory engagement, and build a senior legal team, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the global derivatives structuring strategy, including product structure and clearing models
- Collaborate with the Regulatory Legal team to address cross-entity regulatory challenges
- Lead and develop a team of senior derivatives counsel across multiple jurisdictions
Required qualifications
- Attorney admitted to practice in the US or qualified lawyer in the UK, EU, or equivalent
- 18+ years' post-qualification experience in financial services regulatory law
- Substantial in-house experience in derivatives legal, with ownership of structuring strategy
- Expertise in at least one derivatives regulatory regime (US, UK, or EEA) and fluency in another
- Direct experience with virtual asset markets and structuring products across multiple jurisdictions
